my wedding cake consultation Process
FROM START TO FINISH I OFFER A PERSONALISED CONSULTATION SERVICE, GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR MY CLIENTS.
Step 1 - Initial Consultation Call
As soon as you have booked your wedding venue, drop me a message to check if I am available. I only take a maximum of two wedding cake orders per week so in peak months, I can be fully booked up to 18 months in advance.
If I am available for your wedding date, we will arrange a 30 minute consultation to discuss what you’re looking for and how I can help you. At this point, I can give you an approximate price for your wedding cake.
If after this call you know you’d like me to make your wedding cake, you can secure your wedding date with me with a £150 non refundable booking fee and then we can chat nearer the wedding date to plan the details and taste some cake.
Step 2 - Cake Design Consultation
After securing your wedding date with me, I will arrange a suitable time for your design consultation, which takes place usually 6-9 months before your wedding. Consultations are done via Zoom, or phone call.
We will talk about all of your wedding details and plan how your cake will compliment the rest of your wedding. We discuss the venue, the styling, and all the details that will make your cake extra special. To help with the design process, it is a good idea to have any inspiration pictures, Pinterest boards, colour samples, theme ideas etc with you during the consultation.
I can sketch out your cake design for you so you can visualise how it will look, and I will always provide you with a tailored quote based on the design.
Step 3 - Final Details and Delivery
Around 6-8 weeks before your wedding, I will be in touch to confirm all of the final details.
Your final balance will be due 30 days before your wedding date and the booking fee will be deducted from this final cost.
A couple of weeks before your wedding, I will liaise with your venue to coordinate the delivery and set up of your wedding cake. If you are having fresh flowers on your cake, I will also contact your florist to coordinate our arrival times. All you need to do is get married, and eat cake!
